Fan Works: Fan Fiction: Chibi-Vegita's First Day in Kindergarten
Chapter 10
Sorry for getting this out late. Life’s been busy and annoying. ^^;
I’d like to thank Blue Girl for pointing out a factor that I stupidly missed: Vegita’s tail. ^^;; Oops? Anyway, just to clear up that detail, he still had his tail but keeps it tightly wrapped around his waist like Raditsu so others just think it’s a belt, kay? -_-;; Yea, pathetic attempt at an explanation, I know.
Also, for those of you wondering, this is NOT going to be a Vegita/Bulma romance. Remember, they are 5 years old in this story. Ewg. That’s way to underage for my tastes. There might be a small kiss on the cheek at the end, but that’s about it.

A couple minutes later, Mr. Romano finally got a grip on himself and straightened his shoulders, coughing in embarrassment.
“Right then. Back to business. I feel that in such traumatic circumstances, class should be canceled. You may all go home and recuperate. Last thing I need is a psychiatric bill from one of your parents.” he said, mumbling the last part.
As soon as he was done speaking, the children let out a loud ‘whoop’ of happiness. Except Vegita, who was still trying to understand this whole…mess.
“I will have someone call your guardians so that they can pick you up. Now stay here and be quiet, or else.” he added with a glare and promptly exited the room, slamming (and locking) the door after himself.
Not that anyone cared at the moment. They were still celebrating their new found freedom. All the kids quickly packed up and sat at their desks, talking excitedly with one another. Vegita would have preferred to be by himself, however, a certain blue haired girl was preventing that.
“Vegita-chan…” she started, looking up at him with her large eyes.
He froze. Oh Gods. What if she was going to hug him again? What was he supposed to do?! They never taught him these things of things in training back on Vegita-sei!
“…….What do you want?” he mumbled, trying to find a way to escape. He faintly thought about hurling himself out the window, but that was so overdone.
Although, being unoriginal was the least of Vegita’s problems right now because unfortunately Bulma took his response in a negative way. As we speak, her bottom trembled, dewy eyes becoming shiny as they filled with tears.
She hiccupped, trembling slightly, as Vegita looked on in growing horror.
“You’re so mean! Waaaahhhhhhhh!!” she cried, falling onto the floor in a graceful pile, emitting loud wails every few seconds.
Oh, his poor sensitive hearing. What he wouldn’t give to be deaf right about now. Apparently, this scene was a common one because the rest of the class wasn’t perturbed in the least. Huh. Go figure.
“Ugh! No! Wait! I didn’t mean it!” Vegita yelled, desperately wanting her to quiet down. All that he got for his efforts was a headache. She continued weeping, a small puddle of tears slowly forming around her. He tried everything that he could think of, from apologizing to death threats. Sadly, none of it worked. Then, as a last-ditch effort, he screamed,
“If you stop that racket I’ll buy you candy!”
‘That’ got him an immediate response. Almost instantaneously, she stopped crying and latched onto his arm, grinning happily.
“Really? You mean is Vegita-chan?” she asked, all traces of her temper tantrum gone.
Vegita sighed. How did he get himself into these situations? It must be bad Karma. Damn it all.
“…Yes…” he nodded, ignoring her as best as he could. He wondered if his father ever had to go through things like this.
For the next half hour, he stood in the corner by himself, leaning against the wall. Occasionally, Bulma came by and tried to engage him in a conversation, but stopped after some unsuccessful attempts. She ran off to play with her other friends while he stared at the clock, waiting for someone to come and take him away from this…torture.
Finally, his prayers were answered as the door became unlocked and a blond woman walked in. Her green eyes looked around until they settled on the bored Prince.
“Vegita-chan! Come on, dear! I’m here to pick you up!” she said, smiling. Vegita sighed. Finally. He walked up to her and together they made their way out of the school. Shinii looked down on the Chibi after a few minutes of silence.
“So, how was your first day of school?” she asked, beaming.
“…….Must I go back there tomorrow?”
Shinii giggled, ruffling his spiky black hair and earning herself a glare.
“Awh…was it really that bad, hunny?”
“……Yes…..”
“Well, don’t worry! I didn’t like school at all when I was little either! But in order to be smart and successful in life, you have to have a good education!” she nodded to herself, once again patting Vegita on the head, laughing when he tried to swat her hand away.
“Onna…why wasn’t Raditsu-baka here instead of you?” Vegita demanded, ignoring her attempts at being ‘cuddly’. Shinni blinked, and a large smile found its way onto her face.
“Well, I figured that since I’m letting you two live here, he might as well do something productive, so I made him to some work around the house.”
Chibi-Vegita’s lip twitched. He could just ‘imagine’ that hairy bodyguard in a pink apron, clutching a feather duster in one hand and washing the dishes with the other. A small snort escaped him at the mental picture.
Shinii looked at him quizzically, raising a well-trimmed eyebrow.
“What’s so funny, dear?”
He quickly composed himself and shook him head, “Nothing, onna.”
Soon, they were back at the pink house. As Vegita stepped inside the threshold, his eyes widened. Raditsu. Vacuuming. This was almost as good as his day dream. Ah…if only the pink apron was there.
Shinii calmly stepped around Vegita and made her way to her bedroom, waving to Raditsu.
The latter Saiya-jin looked up as he heard footsteps and glared, daring Vegita to make a comment.
“Raditsu…why the sour look? I think its…admirable how you’re helping out. Just try not to turn into a house-wife on me, alright?”
Chibi-Vegita dodged the flower vase that was thrown at him and laughed.
“My, your aim never did improve..” he said, grinning.
Raditsu, about to retort, froze, and his sullen demeanor disappeared. He smiled evilly, chuckling. Vegita’s eyebrow rose.
“What?” he asked, edging away incase his bodyguard had gone mental.
Raditsu just shook his head, whistling happily.
“What?” Vegita demanded again, frowning.
“Oh, nothing, my young Prince. Your father just send me a message to you…Would you like to know what it is?” Raditsu replied, the twinkle in his eye becoming alarming.
“…….Yes……” was the hesitant answer.
Still chuckling, Raditsu said, “Well, it turns out King Vegita knew you would hate it here, and he thought you might try to escape and go home. He also said that if you didn’t complete at least a years worth of school, then you would loose your crown to the throne, and someone else would become King when your father died.”
Ignoring Vegita’s saucer-sized eyes and open jaw, he continued, “But you want to know the best part? He was completely serious when he said it. Oh ho ho ho…I would hate to be in your position.” Raditsu grinned and walked out of the living room , leaving Vegita to think things over.
“WHAT?!!?!?!?”
